Reporting to the VP of Operations and Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS), with a dotted line to the Segment Vice President of Human Resources, the Senior Director of Human Resources will serve as a business partner to the North America operations organization and the global quality, shared engineering, and continuous improvement functions. This is also a key member of the functional leadership teams, contributing to the overall segment’s business strategy, direction and overall effectiveness. This is a hands-on role that is responsible for leading the human resources function across 5 plants in the US and Mexico, and defining, developing and implementing strategic HR solutions, insights and leadership to enable key operational projects, initiatives and strategies that contribute to >70% of the segment’s revenue growth and profitability.
The Senior Director of Human Resources also serves as a key partner to the Segment VP HR and the Segment HR leadership team (SHRLT). Responsible for providing insights, guidance, direction and expertise that supports the development of HR initiatives and priorities at the Segment level; and provides leadership in the effective implementation of strategic HR initiatives to deliver the desired outcomes/KPIs for the Segment.
Responsible for leveraging their experience to manage and execute the functions’ scope of talent acquisition, workforce planning, organizational design, change leadership, leadership development, building a high quality diverse leadership pipeline, succession planning, performance management, associate engagement, workforce diversity and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
Workforce Planning, Organizational Design and Change Management
  • Conducts workforce planning based on business strategy and leverages data and analytics to identify priorities, create and execute aligned actions plans, and evaluate progress.
  • Assesses talent and capability needs and draws connections across the businesses and operations; identifies implications from a talent, structure and skills requirements.
  • Facilitates effective organizational design, develops restructuring plans to optimize resource allocation, and provides change leadership and stakeholder engagement through organizational changes.
  • Ensures effective human capital strategies are in place to deliver on key organizational changes and projects across the operations organization.
Talent Management/Leadership Development/Diversity & Inclusion
  • Develops and leads talent management initiatives to establish a robust pipeline of diverse leadership talent across the business unit client groups.
  • Leverages a cross-Segment view of talent to create and execute robust leadership talent development and succession planning.
  • Partners with leaders to facilitate the creation and execution of experience-based development plans for high potential talent; ensures meaningful exposure to the business leadership.
  • Manages the talent review and succession planning process; provides expertise and guidance to the functional leadership teams, with heavy emphasis on the NA operations organization.
  • Possesses a keen ability to assess top talent, builds a strong partnership with Talent Acquisition function and hiring managers to ensure effective attraction and selection of talent for key positions and drives effective talent outcomes via the Regal Rexnord Talent Acquisition Framework.
  • Partners with leaders to translate employee feedback into the creation and implementation of high impact actions to drive a highly engaged, high performing, and inclusive work environment across the North American business.
  • Promotes and fosters an inclusive work environment through education, coaching, continual evaluation of practices and processes via an inclusion and diversity lens. Drives awareness and mitigation of bias in the talent acquisition and talent management processes.
Functional Expertise
  • Provides functional leadership for the HR teams (4 HR Managers with 13 additional HR team members) reporting into the 5 manufacturing sites that total approximately 3300 employees.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to prioritize and drive continuous improvement to deliver results aligned with the Segment and Enterprise HR strategy, including KPIs, with a sense of urgency.
  • Leverages strong operational background and insight to provide hands-on coaching to functional leaders and HR managers.
  • Enables strong HR capabilities within the Segment with the effective application of deep expertise and experience, through HR team development and performance management in conjunction with Plant Managers.
  • Experienced to provide strong oversight on daily or complex employee relations investigations and resolution of major issues.
  • Key advisor and coach to the plant HR teams, business leadership and line management on appropriate HR practices and policies; addresses gaps in manager effectiveness and ensures implementation and compliance.
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify processes and enhance value of HR to the business by driving outcomes that enable business success.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing leadership across all critical aspects of the HR function and developing collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. This leader must have the passion, energy and intellectual curiosity necessary for a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. Be able to employ forward thinking and have the ability to expeditiously execute significant business projects and programs that deliver meaningful results to achieve business goals.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness or related field.
  • Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • 8-12 years HR progressive business partner experience
  • Experience leading, coaching, building and managing a dispersed HR team within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience leading manufacturing operations in Mexico
  • Track record of effectively leading change across operations
  • Strong ability to partner with leaders to develop and implement talent strategies that produce measurable outcomes and drive business results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility and rapport at all levels of the organization; seen as humble, direct, and authentic while possessing executive presence.
  • Proven ability to be hands on, demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation. Has a mindset of continuous improvement and can embrace Regal’s 80/20 principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and influence resources outside one’s direct responsibility.
  • Ability to travel 30% domestically and globally (plant locations include Mexico, Texas, and Missouri)
