Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Director, M&A is a key member of the Finance leadership team. The individual will partner closely with the Business Development team and play a leadership role across all phases of a transaction including financial assessment, due diligence, closing and integration. The Senior Director, M&A will lead the finance team responsible for analyzing all transactions and strategic growth initiatives and make recommendations to drive optimal outcomes. This role will have significant visibility and exposure to executive leadership.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mobilizes and leads a team responsible for all facets of finance M&A, including assessment, due diligence, integration planning, and closing of M&A deals
  • Working with the CFO and the SVP of Development, develops standardized templates, valuation processes, and methodologies to analyze the financial impact of transactions
  • Works with the Business Development team to perform rigorous analysis of operational and financial impact of potential transactions
  • Develops valuations for potential targets
  • Ensures financial integration plans are developed prior to deal closure and plans are understood by internal and external teams
  • Applies consistent governance over M&A deals to ensure proper financial risk management, transparency, and predictability in M&A due diligence and integration efforts
  • Provides oversight of financial execution activities, including pro forma development and quality of earnings analyses, to ensure adoption and adherence to standardized process and methodology
  • Coordinates the closing of transactions and ensure a successful transition plan is in place
  • Manages third party project delivery resources
  • Produces effective progress reports and communication mechanisms to keep stakeholders informed on status, major risks and issues, budgets, and milestone achievements or misses, including value realization and budgeting
  • Manages resource allocations and profiles across M&A deals ensuring appropriate financial resources are adequately distributed
  • In support of Development, collaborates and consults with other functional workstreams and key stakeholders to clarify and define requirements, budgets, and business cases to align with strategic objectives
  • Promotes transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders, departments, and external vendors
  • Leads and develops an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans, and rewards and recognition
  • Presents potential outcomes and valuations to executive leadership

  • Individual should possess advanced skills in Microsoft Word/Excel.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from Four-year College or university preferred in Finance or Accounting; 7+ years of transaction-oriented analytical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; prefer experience from investment banking, corporate development, private equity or other related finance experience.

Must pass a background check and drug screen.
