About the Role
The Senior Data Engineer is primarily responsible for helping lead the data engineering of the enterprise and analytics data warehouse and data pipelines. This role provides technical guidance to develop and maintain high quality data solutions, participate as a technical expert in cross-functional projects, and act as a point of reference for junior data engineers and analysts. About the Role

The Senior Data Engineer will work in an agile environment while demonstrating a strong skillset with SQL, NoSQL, Python, and Spark to build and maintain scalable data products.
- Implement modern pipelines supporting the healthcare environment on public cloud platforms (Databricks, Azure)
- Review and guide the analyzation, design, development, and support of all data systems
- Consult on and implement data security protocols
- Lead code management and review process for the enterprise data and analytics organization
- Participate in and lead the data engineering efforts for the enterprise data and analytics team to provide data pipeline development and maintenance utilizing CI/CD, test driven development, and data security best practices
- Collaboratively work with functional leadership, business users, and engineers across the organization to develop data products, identify and track key milestones, and implement solutions to enable data-drive culture
- Partner with central DataOps, DevOps, security, compliance, and technical teams in multiple lines of business to create innovative technical solutions for enter data
- Collaborate with business users, clients, and vendors to translate complex business requirements into data solutions
- Coordinate with data governance and data architects to create maintainable and scalable solutions
- Create, implement, and facilitate adoption of data engineering best practices and guidelines
- Promote positive team culture and collaboration for a robust technical organization
About You
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required. MBA or related Master’s preferred
- 4-7 years of data engineering experience or relevant educational attainment required.
- Project and team leadership experience preferred
- The ideal candidate projects high energy, possesses a passion for state-of-the-art technology, and speaks comfortably from a technical perspective with clients, business partners, and across their team
- Strong technical security expertise and systems management, with experience in an agile operating model
- Demonstratable knowledge of creating and managing technical data products in support of enterprise initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business needs and recommend practical business solutions is required
- Must be familiar with healthcare data including claims and eligibility data. Knowledge of medical ontologies
- Ability to understand data de-identification and skilled with de-identified data linking
About the Location
OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid or in office work options. The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA, Plantation, FL and Guaynabo, PR. We are open to employees nationwide, but work primarily in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

Our Current Solutions
Through the use of OncoHealth's utilization management system, OneUM, our customers can use a single e-Prior Authorization portal for all oncology drug request and treatments. Our system improves quality of care, reduces provider abrasion and gives health plans visibility into the total cost of oncology treatment.
OncoHealth offers Oncology Insights Pro, an analytic software solution that enables health plans to use data and analytics to improve oncology programs. Using real world data, our engineers normalize data to create analytic dashboards with drill down compatibilities. The data is the paired with expert guidance providing the strategies an insight needed to keep up with the continuing evolving cancer treatment landscape.
OncoHealth offers Pharmacy Consulting services to health plans and pharmaceutical companies. New cancer treatments are entering the market at an unrelenting pace. Since 2018, the FDA approved 121 new cancer applications including 49 novel cancer drug entities. Our Board-Certified Oncology Pharmacologists can help health plans update drug policies, offer utilization management and formulary advice, and development training for staff.
