As a Senior Content Strategist for Vanguard, you will lead the execution of a compelling internal communications strategy through creative, engaging content. This exciting role sits within a fast growing, creative team that will be the vehicle to drive key internal communications!

In this role

• Lead the execution of internal content execution through creative, engaging content that connects employees to our strategy.
• Work with Communications Strategists to create and execute communications for senior leaders, initiatives that impact employees and support employee culture, operational-based communications, and, at times, crisis communications.
• Oversee content strategy across mediums-working closely with key partners. Oversight of content creation, curation, planning, and research.
• Develop and implement critical internal communications that articulate business goals, objectives, and path forward. Create compelling communications and positioning on a range of subjects, supporting business goals.
• Partner with others on the team to drive communications results for the department that require subject matter expertise, including communications plans, timely communications, campaigns, and employee engagement activities.
• Provide timely, and accurate communications by participating in meetings and presentations to key business goals. Communicates with internal partners and other stakeholder to achieve communications strategy.
• Produce communications materials across a variety of formats, platforms, and channels, including newsletter content, blogs, talking points, employee memos, presentations and more.
• Provides direction and guidance on messaging and/or content strategy across mediums-working closely with key partners. Informs department's processes by identifying recurring issues for future improvements.
• Provides communications and creative counsel to various internal teams. Builds and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Responds to edits and changes from subject matter experts with flexibility, while maintaining quality and accuracy. Learns and implements Vanguard writing style and standards.
• Work with appropriate parties to plan, schedule and manage communications.
• Strong understanding and experience of key communications channels, including written, digital, print, and interactive media.
• Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What it takes

• Minimum eight years related work experience.
• Proficient in Word Suite of products, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Strong portfolio preferred.
