Senior Civil Designer

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Direct hire - Full time

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer in Rio Rancho, NM! This individual will utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to design public works and transportation projects including: water systems, sanitary sewer systems, roads and transportation projects, utility projects, development and site grading. The candidate must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Day-to-day:

• Engage in design and production planning activities.
• Create detailed drawings for roadway and development projects, encompassing site grading, drainage, roadway design, and drafting.
• Generate drawings for wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, and water plants, incorporating on-site utilities, paving, drainage, elevation views, and cross-sections of plant facilities.
• Develop plan and profile drawings for water transmission lines, as well as sanitary sewer gravity and force main projects.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will possess an Associates degree in CAD/Drafting or have equivalent experience working for a Civil Engineering firm.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• Previous involvement in public works projects is highly valued.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, Carlson, and/or other AutoCAD add-on platforms is considered advantageous.
