YOUR ROLE AS A SECURITY MANAGER

As a Security Manager, you get to oversee, coordinate, and supervise security and property protection activities for clients. Your goal is to ensure success in finances, and account retention, as well as to uphold the company's standards and procedures. In addition, you have financial management responsibilities, including developing business plans, meeting financial goals, and negotiating rates and contract terms.

As a Security Manager, you help with human resources too! This includes ensuring compliance with employment policies, managing staffing levels, helping with training, and making sure you stay up-to-date with the company's information systems and technologies.

Playing a key role in driving business growth, you seek internal growth, solicit new business, and develop sales proposals. And let's not forget about your team - you supervise security personnel, appraising their performance and addressing complaints. Get ready for a dynamic and fulfilling role!

REQUIREMENTS FOR A SECURITY MANAGER

Are you highly organized, proactive, and able to think critically and creatively? Do you have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills? If yes, you might just be perfect for this safety management position!

• Four years of post-secondary education - candidates without such education need an additional four years of related experience
• 10+ years of directly related responsible security or law enforcement or military experience that includes significant supervisory responsibilities and more complex management responsibilities
• Proven success at managing multiple tasks, projects, and subordinates
• Proficiency in planning and organization
• Strong ability to lead, build diverse teams, and oversee training
• Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft applications and web-based applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated understanding of profit attainment and profit growth

• Working knowledge of general accounting principles and current NMS accounting policies

Travel:

This position entails extensive travel within the area of responsibility.

This position will also entail travel to corporate meetings, training, and client gatherings.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.

Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.

Description of environment: Office building with a standard office environment.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. This position is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight.

Travel: Employees may travel up to 50% of the time to various locations within the U.S. and/or remote locations and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes, and ATVs. Travel is coordinated by NMS.
