About Smithfield Foods:
The Security Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing social media monitoring, information collection, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence in a timely manner to key stakeholders. The position must use a full range of intelligence sources and products to identify/assess threats to Smithfield and the greater Animal Agriculture sector. The position will be required to prepare studies and assessments of threats and threat-related trends using sophisticated collection/research methodologies, and work with customized targeting infrastructure to identify company vulnerabilities.
Salary Range: $54,000 - $90,500 Core Responsibilities:
- Perform all source and open-source research and analysis on matters of corporate and industry security related matters.
- Exploit data from specific sources and raw intelligence and compile them to validate intelligence collection requirements.
- Collaborate and liaise with private sector and government intelligence organizations to collate the essential information to develop and provide a comprehensive risk profile to business landscape.
- Proofread and finalize briefings, white papers, executive summaries, attend meetings and perform other tasks required by CSO.
- Prepare and review all submitted analytical and investigative reports to ensure accuracy, research, and professional quality; edit and correct as necessary and disseminate to responsible executives.
- Initiate and implement actions taken by the Smithfield Security in response to localized and global threat indicators.

- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years relevant experience, required.
- Confident communicator and presenter; must have expert-level verbal and written skills
- Self-starter who is energetic and motivated, and desires to go the extra mile
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- High degrees of professionalism, decision-making ability, judgment, tact, discretion, poise, instinct, and diplomacy
- Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude with organizational, time-management, and planning skills
- Must be highly resourceful, adaptable, detailed, deadline driven, and flexible within a frequently changing environment
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel occasionally, as required, remain connected and be available outside of regular business hours as needed
