Overview

Kilgore, a Summit Materials is looking for a Scale House Manager to support our Aggregates division. In this position you will primarily be responsible for overseeing and guiding all scale operations within the Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and Wyoming aggregate operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee scale clerks and ticketing for various aggregate and asphalt sales location across 4 states.
• Oversee hiring and process training of scale clerks.
• Oversee scheduling of scale clerks.
• Oversee data accuracy of sales and maintenance of the point of sales systems.
• Become an expert in the point-of-sale system, including maintaining the system and completing training for any new users
• Work closely with Sales, Billing, Finance, IT and the operations team. Ensure appropriate communication with all parties
• Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of our scale locations
• Identify, plan, implement projects to improve operations within the scale department
• Responsible for SOPs; ensuring they are followed, reviewed regularly, identifying areas where new SOPs may be needed, and writing SOPs
• 25% overnight travel
• Daily travel between Logan and Mona

• Knowledge of Heartland transaction system
