U Pull Auto Parts is looking for a Sales Associate with outstanding selling and decision-making skills.

If you don’t know much about our business, this is what we do: Provide customers with a wide range of auto parts from our inventory of end-of-life vehicles. First, we purchase vehicles with prices based off curb weight. We source vehicles from individuals, dealers, tow companies, auto auctions, or anyone else willing to sell us a vehicle with a valid title. After vehicles are inventoried, they are drained of all fluid, prepped for retail customers, and placed in our yard and marked with a row location. Then we sell as many recycled auto parts off each vehicle before we have them crushed for scrap value – which where you would come in. Our customers call or visit with our Sales Associate to see if we have any vehicles with an “interchangeable” part. If we do, and they are interested, they then pay a small entrance fee to enter our yard with their own tools, pull the part if available, and then pay you on their way out. At our facility we are looking someone who feels they can excel at the following duties:

• Use a professional attitude to greet and respond to customers in person and over the phone, and collect yard entry fees
• Look up vehicle inventory and offer part pricing for customers
• Solve customers’ issues, overcome any objections, and sell a lot of parts
• Ensure our customer retention when handling returns, exchanges, and core returns
• Perform cashier duties including start and end of day and maintaining the register
• Use our computer software and practical decision-making skills to quote, purchase, and enter vehice information as needed
• Assist in removal of vehicles from inventory when vehicles are “crushed”
• Creating and maintaining relationships with tow companies, vehicle vendors, and other local businesses
• Provide parts interchange information to customers from our computerized inventory of vehicles
• Ensuring our customers safety by checking customers tools boxes/bags for parts, jacks, saws (electric or pneumatic cutting tools), and torches
• Clean and maintain organization of retail area daily
• Maintaining business records
• Communicate often with production employees by phone, email, and messaging
• Establishing and maintain a loyal customer base
• Marketing our company to potential and repeat customers Building business relationships with customers

• Standing for long periods of time
• Bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling repeatedly
• Occasionally assist in the yard and also in extreme weather conditions (Heat or Cold)
• Getting dirty (oil, grease, and dirt are found on most of our parts)

Also Required:

• Must be able to work some weekends
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)

Preferred:

• Bilingual
• 1-3 years Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
• 1 or more years of automotive experience

Job Details:

• We are looking to fill 1 position: full time Sales Associate
• Full time positions available with full benefits available after 90 days. Benefits include: Health, dental and vision insurance; paid vacation and holidays; 401k with company match program; clean company uniforms and advancement opportunities.
• Our job duties are industry specific, so we prefer to hire and promote within the company when applicable
• Starting Salary: $13.00 - $15.00/hour DOE
• Rate may vary depending on automotive knowledge and sales experience
• Full time positions will be 40 hours per week with optional overtime
• Part time positions will be 20-30 hours per week
