Monday to Friday, 10:30am to 7:00pm. Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of internal and external customers.

Position Description:
The Route Coordinator is responsible for administering the activities associated with Route Service Representatives and routes for delivery. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Routing Coordinator plays a key role in helping Doll Distributing with their vision: Building Brands and Building Relationships. All duties performed are expected to be within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.
Essential Functions:

• Schedule Service Representatives and ensure all routes are covered daily
• Schedule delivery equipment to most efficiently meet delivery demands
• Follow up to be sure deliveries are timely and efficient
• Update VIP and RoadNet
• Maintain and manage the entire routing system
• Complete daily routing and load mapping
• Prepare route notes in an effort to increase effectiveness in loading and delivery
• Note and correct any problems on previous routes to avoid future issues
• Work with Account Managers and Team Leaders to ensure customers needs are met
• Work with the PM Warehouse Manager (and staff) to maintain good work flow and load balancing through the work assignments
• Identify and assign backhauls to delivery routes in an effort to increase efficiency
• Review, recommend, and implement changes to delivery and sales routes on a regular basis to foster efficiencies
• Implement and enforce all company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Functions:

• Assist with implementation of employee training on safety and operating procedures
• Assist with training, development, and reviews of Service Representatives.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrate strong communication with all points of contact, including but not limited to; Senior Management, Service Representatives, Account Managers, vendors and customers
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLC
• Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
• Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and either entry-level (or ability to learn) Mobility
• Able to work with a diverse group of people and customers

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5 years of transportation experience. Route dispatching, delivery driving as a lead/trainer, working knowledge of the computer system and/or delivery load building a plus.
• High School or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate verbal and written instructions and information in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel
• Roadnet and/or Vermont Information Processing experience preferred

• Temperature/Climate
• This position works mainly in an office setting. Occasional trips to the retail sites may be needed to gather first-hand delivery knowledge.

• Attire
• This position requires interaction with salespeople and management. It will be required to represent the position with business casual attire.
