Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a part-time position (24 hours per week) for a Diabetes Management Educator. Work hours to be determined; days Monday through Friday.
We are looking for an AMAZING Registered Nurse with a "Get It Done" attitude! The ability to work with a TEAM in a collaborative and communicative environment is a MUST!
Diabetes Management Educator Responsibilities:
- Perform professional nursing, consultant and educational services for persons with diabetes.
- Provide community health education
- Develop curriculum on health, including research and production and act as a health care consultant by providing information on the management of diabetes for patients of all ages.
Requirements:
- Licensed as a registered nurse in Iowa and/or meets the requirements of multi-state licensure required. With 3 – 5 years of recent clinical experience in area of clinical specialty.
- BSN
- Certified as a Diabetic Educator or a combination of education specific to diabetes self-management.
- BLS a plus; certification is required as an employee.
- Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.
- Vaccinations for MMR, Flu and COVID-19 are required. Individuals who are seeking an exemption from these requirements for medical or religious reason should contact Human Resources for details.
