Job Description Summary


  • Direct residential sales staff in establishing customers (Dealers and Distribution Store Contractors), increasing sales, overall customer satisfaction and new leads to achieve sales objectives
  • Lead the team to profitable sales growth
  • Oversees administrative sales functions
  • Analyze market trends and develop action plans, prepare sales and marketing activity reports, compile and report on sales data and findings
  • Participate in the development of sales forecasts within assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Handle customer complaints in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in the selection, development and motivation of necessary sales talent
  • Participate with the VP/GM in planning and controlling company growth and evaluating performance against objectives
  • Assign accounts and sales initiatives to Sales Representatives and set and implement both short and long term sales strategies, as well as develop required actions to achieve goals
  • Ensure appropriate orientation and training for all new employees
  • Conduct product knowledge seminars for customers, distributors and sales staff.
  • Attend industry and associations trade shows
  • Maintain and monitor budget efficiently and responsibly
  • Attend and participate in company sales meetings, training programs and assigned trade shows
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as needed


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent training, experience and education
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in progressive sales preferably with construction materials
  • Knowledge of Windows based programs including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to calculate figures, forecast trends and adjust budgets


Preferences


  • Possess a visionary leadership, able to lead a team and work as a team member
  • Business strategy oriented
  • Understanding of legal terminology in contracts, agreements and other documents
  • Understanding of financial documents
  • Experience managing personnel and sales activities using SalesForce.com or similar CRM software
