Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Resident Project Representative 2, we'll count on you to:

  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
  • Maintain accurate daily records of the contractor’s daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment and materials used
  • Review construction materials for Contract compliance
  • Confirm pay quantities and assemble payment application package
  • Attend and/or chair construction progress meetings
  • Generate and transmit meeting minutes
  • Track, process, file, draft and transmit project correspondence, including letters, RFI’s, Submittals, etc.
  • Track nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until corrected
  • Develop record documentation for engineer review/acceptance
  • Assist with project audit/closeout
  • Work under general supervision of a Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer
  • Supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants
    • Perform other Office Engineering duties as required
Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • This position is subject to a governmental background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction certifications, PMP, and/or CCM beneficia, but not required
  • Prior transit agency/transportation project work experience
  • Familiar with WongCMS
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules

The expected compensation range for this position is $86,009 - $145,210 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
