Full Time and PRN all shifts $10,000 Bonus for Full time only and one year commitment in specific departments.

Summary: Registered Nurses (RN) effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. RN's provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures, being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness, or due to the broad range of medical conditions nurses may encounter. They must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions. We offer a good benefit package and you start to accrue sick and vacation time, day one if full time. Accrue 96.2 hours sick and 80.6 hours vacation that roll over to the next year if not used.

Responsibilities: RN's provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in ED/ICU, Med Surg, Assisted Living or RehabLiving in the Meadows based on the attending physicians orders. In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of RN's include (but are not limited to):
1. Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
2. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse
3. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs
4. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays
5. Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
6. Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs. Changes dressings, inserts catheters, starts IVs
7. Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
8. Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol. Must have BLS or certified within 30 days of hire.
9. Participates in discharge planning
10. Utilizes time management skills
11. Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
12. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting. Depending on setting, may also:
13. Upholds HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

1. Current Texas RN license, or a compact License
2. Minimum of one (1) year of nursing
3. Ability to lift twenty (50) pounds, moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
4. Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Pay: $30.00 - $47.00 per hour
