Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
- Medication administration.
- Obtain and document vital signs in the medical record.
- Evaluate medical complaints/concerns from residents during on-site hours and relay information to appropriate NP/MD.
- Complete treatment plans when indicated, provide direct care and nursing services to clients as prescribed by program regulations, and client health screening.
- Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures.
- Maintains records, including but not limited to Medication Administration Record, medical records, medical charts, infection control log etc. Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings as needed.
- Comply with all mandated reporting requirements, biohazard program requirements, medical protocols, infection control, etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely initiation of medications and arrival of medications from pharmacy.
- Communicate with Care Coordinators (CCs) regarding medication concerns.
- Order all medication refills in a timely manner.
- Destroy medications per DEA protocol.
- Coordinate with operations staff to order any/all medical equipment.
- May include phlebotomy.
- Attendance at meetings per prior arrangement, and participation as an interdisciplinary team member.
- Possess a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state applying for work.
- Experience in residential nursing a plus.

- Must pass the applicable state/agency background check required for the work location jurisdiction, prior to employment.
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- Must possess a current and valid CPR certification or obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
- California
- Minimum age is 18 years old, as a requirement for employment
- Health screening, TB clearance, and valid CPR/First Aid, and criminal record clearance are required prior to employment.
- Connecticut
- Minimum age is 21 years old, as a requirement for employment.
- Virginia
- Must pass a Health Screening, TB test, and pre-employment drug screening.
- Washington
- Minimum age is 18 years old, as a requirement for employment
- Must pass a Health Screening, TB test, and pre-employment drug screening.
