Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Ortho Registered Nurse to join our team. As an Ortho RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in an orthopedic setting. Your responsibilities will include managing patient care, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers a 13-week contract and involves working a 3x12-hour rotation between night and day shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the orthopedic unit.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, develop care plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with orthopedic procedures and surgeries.
• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the respective state or compact license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic nursing.
• Proficiency in assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
