£21.54 - £29.12 per hour

About the Trust

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a wide range of hospital-based and community services including two specialist regional services, in burns and spinal injuries, which are renowned across the North of England and beyond. Located in the heart of Yorkshire, with beautiful countryside from the North Yorkshire Moors to the Yorkshire Dales, and easy access to city life with nearby Leeds and York, you can have the best of both worlds.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Assessing the needs of women, partners, families, and carers
• Plan, deliver and evaluate standards of evidence-based midwifery care
• Providing full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations and screening
• Identifying high-risk pregnancies

You’ll have the following qualification/experience:

• A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a Registered Midwife at Band 5/6 level
• Have your NNR and CTG training certificates issues within the last 12 months
• Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current practices
• Completed Preceptorship Programme
• Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
• Practice as an accountable midwife in an acute and primary care setting
• Able to make appropriate clinical decisions in light of research, evidence, informed choice and individual circumstances
• Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
• Carry out procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
• Undertake regular mandatory training**
