This is a Promotional/Open Opportunity. Any interested candidates may apply. Current monthly-salaried employees that successfully pass the examination process receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible lists.

Perform skilled work in the installation inspection, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning machinery and equipment.

There is currently one 12-month, full-time positions available.

The Refrigeration Mechanic-Air Conditioning will be paid on the OSS Salary Schedule. Salary Grade: 048. The OSS Salary can be viewed clicking here.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to completion of a recognized air condition mechanic training program. Two years of directly related experience may be substituted for the training requirement.

Possession of a valid Class II Environmental Protection Agency certificate for handling chlorofluorocarbons (C.F.C.).

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California driver’s license and availability of private transportation (mileage expense allowance provided). District vehicle may be provided. Personality and character suitable for working in schools.
