Description/Job Summary

PITT OHIO, a $900 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking a Recruiting Representative (Entry Level) to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Essential Duties:

  • Make recruiting calls to job seekers to inform them of employment possibilities
  • Participate in job fairs and similar events across the PITT OHIO system to recruit, promote career opportunity awareness, and advance the PITT OHIO brand
  • Process PITT OHIO Mobile Site Leads (MSL) including recordkeeping and contacting leads
  • Complete Daily Open Requisition Audit Report for Terminals and MAR Weekly Open Requisition Audit Report
  • Administer assessments for candidates
  • Screen, evaluate, and qualify candidates for driver, dockworker, and various other positions.
  • Support full cycle recruitment and onboarding initiatives across the enterprise
  • Support Hiring Managers with onboarding new employees including completing employment verifications and reference checks
  • Manage the Recruitment Hotline & Jobs@pittohio Inbox
  • Analyze various weekly/monthly metrics to identify trends, patterns and recruiting hiring sources
  • Conduct exit interviews; maintain and review exit interview tracking spreadsheet
  • Manage Driver Referral Program and tracking
  • Post positions on various recruiting websites, vocational schools and college/universities

Other Duties:

  • Assist with recruiting including opening requisition, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
  • Update job postings on applicant tracking system and applicable job boards
  • Assist and coordinate training and development initiatives including corporate training, development and analysis of surveys, and development of course curriculum
  • Support HR staff on daily duties and projects as needed including general administrative duties
  • Provide support and assistance for various HR enterprise projects
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or 2 years HR experience
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel)
  • Experience using various job boards to identify potentially qualified candidates is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Must possess basic analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Must possess the willingness to be mentored by experienced professionals to execute job responsibilities
  • Maintain exceptional degree of discretion regarding confidential information
  • Work independently and as function as part of a team
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Ability to view problems as challenges to be positively addressed and solved
  • Some travel may be required
