Receptionist-Part Time

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY (near Kingston, NY), specializing in:

We are currently looking for a Receptionist Part Time

Per Diem Receptionist position available: Must be flexible with a varied schedule. Days/Evenings/Weekdays/Weekends as needed.

The Receptionist is responsible for providing superior customer service by acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the facility. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to the appropriate persons and mail distribution. The ideal candidate will have front desk, administrative, and office experience. Candidate should also have excellent communication, solid computer skills, and a positive attitude with ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate multiline telephone and paging system.
  • Answer incoming calls, determine the nature of the call and route the call to the appropriate party.
  • Locate personnel by using overhead paging system.
  • Greets and directs all visitors to the facility, ensures that all visitors sign-in and refuse visitor’s entry to the facility if needed.
  • Follow COVID procedures and guidances and ensure all visitors comply
  • Maintain a current file/listing of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding job openings and distributes job applications to perspective employees.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, website and other related information
  • Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of mail services.
  • Responsible for reporting all resident concerns and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate department head/supervisor on duty.
  • Handles sensitive information regarding Residents and other facility matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Works in an organized fashion and keeps lobby and workstation clean and free of hazards at all times.
  • Reports all hazardous conditions, damaged equipment and supply issues to the supervisor.
  • Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid computer skills
  • A very positive attitude with ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Prior front desk, administrative, and office experience
  • One year experience in a customer service role.
  • Flexibility-This position is part of a health care facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required as needed.
