Responsibilities

Provides reception, customer service and phone switchboard support. Work is performed with direct supervision of a leader. This position is assigned tasks specific to the Receptionist/Front Desk Assistant role. This position is not assigned to provide direct administrative support for a particular leader, group of leaders or department(s). May provide generalclerical support for local staff as assigned.

1. Provides high level of hospitality and customer service by greeting and directing visitors, responding to inquiries of internal and external customers and generally performing as front face of organization.
2. Coordinates incoming/outgoing mail and delivery services, which may include mail processing/sorting, coordination of special deliveries with other office staff, and/or vendor account administration.
3. Provides clerical support to local staff as available and assigned (examples: basic document or spreadsheet development, collation, meeting material production and other administrative projects).
4. Supports office supply ordering and inventory procedures as needed.
5. Performs Front Desk file maintenance/retention, policy and procedure documentation and maintenance, and conducts training for back-up coverage.
6. May assist with visitor badges and providing information about meeting rooms and office facilities.
7. Distributes communications specific to local office/facility; maintains directories; and acts as local point of contact for employee activities.
8. Cross trains to learn Dept. Support Assistant responsibilities for back-up coverage on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

Required:
One year of customer service experience, clerical, or business-related experience.

Pay Range

$14.78 - $20.33 /hour
