Ecolab is seeking to hire a Quality Engineer to join their team in Joliet. In this role, you will support our Quality group from a Packaging Engineering perspective in order to help improve safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Apply packaging engineering skills and experience to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost by planning and executing engineering projects while meeting project cost and schedule objectives

  • Support efforts to identify areas within the operations function where safety, quality, delivery, and cost may be improved

  • Support feasibility studies, determine manpower and cost estimates

  • Develop engineering criteria to plan projects and drive smaller projects from approval and execution to recognize objectives

  • Work with others to ensure projects conform to local, regional, national, and corporate safety, environmental, and other applicable standards

  • Support technical efforts to develop and integrate manufacturing processes for new and significantly revised products

  • Support Quality Department as the Document Control Coordinator to assure all processes and procedures are accurate

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Packaging Engineering

  • 1-2 years of experience in a chemical, food, or related manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a chemical, food, or related manufacturing environment

  • Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline

  • World Class manufacturing and TPM experience
