Madison Services, Inc. (Madison) is hiring a dual role position encompassing quality control and pest control functions.

The Quality Control / Pest Control Manager (QCPCM) works with Madison’s Project Manager and Alternate Project Manager. The two work locations on Madison’s contract include both the Stennis Space Center, MS and Michoud Assembly Facility, LA.

The QCPCM is responsible for environmental, quality, safety, and health systems, corporate guidance, and the establishment of internal processes / controls. Has full authority and responsibility for assuring quality performance objectives and standards are met. Additionally, the QCPCM has direct involvement in supporting Madison’s current Integrated Pest Management (IPM) function at both locations.

Madison’s ideal candidate will already have a state license from either:

Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry – Structural Pest Control License with following endorsements:

  • General Pest Control
  • Commercial Vertebrate Control
  • Termite Control

Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce with the following endorsements:

  • Wood destroying insect control (WDI)
  • General pest and rodent control (GRC)
  • Right-of-way weed control (ROW)

In addition to experience in applying pesticides, candidates should also have experience conducting inspections, trapping rodents and setting up mechanical traps.

Responsibilities:

· Acts as an advocate for Madison by maintaining good corporate ethics and promoting quality, at every opportunity, as a core value of the organization

· Evaluates Madison workforce, facilities, equipment, programs, and procedures for adequacy and effectiveness.

· Identifies and documents deficiencies and recommends corrective action to the Project Manager (PM)/Corporate Office to achieve maximum contract efficiency.

· Advises PM of enhancements to management systems, policies, and procedures to optimize use of resources. Reports all findings, recommendations, trend analyses, deficiencies, etc. directly to Corporate Office.

· Investigates and reports incidents, accidents, and noncompliance of quality, environmental, safety, and health policies and initiates root cause analysis of the deficiencies.

· Maintains technical library, including standards, reference materials, warranties, and O&M manuals.

· Use IPM techniques such as biological control, habitat manipulation and modification of cultural practices as prevention prior to using chemicals.

· Identifying, selecting and applying chemicals or manual solutions such as traps to eliminate pests

· Other duties as assigned

Position Competencies Required:

· Must be able to pass a detailed background investigation

· Must be able to be granted access to NASA installations

· Must be able to travel 25%-50% of the time between both locations

· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

· Ability to kneel, bend, crawl in tight spaces to inspect sites, climb ladders and lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
