JOB DESCRIPTION:
Bartell Drugs, your neighborhood drug store since 1890, is looking for a high energy, dependable, hard working Quality Control Clerk for our Distribution Center's Inventory and Quality Control department!

We are in Des Moines, WA. Regular attendance and punctuality is expected. The schedule is Monday - Friday and the shift is 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM. There is room for advancement within the Distribution Center and within the Company! Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with a generous benefit package (eligible the first of the month after starting) and a great work environment.


We also have two (2) QC Clerk (Internal Audit) position open on second (2nd) shift. That schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 3:00 PM until 11:30 PM (after training which takes place on Day Shift)
. There is room for advancement within the Distribution Center and within the Company! Starting pay is $18.50 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential for second (2nd) shift.


Job Summary:
The Quality Control Clerk (Inventory Auditor) plays a key role in order to assure that DC Operations are performing their responsibilities accurately per SOP's. This includes Receiving, Put away, Replenishment, Stocking, Picking and Outbound. They record results to determine accuracy rates and give information to DC Operations to address Associates that do not meet goals. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Ensure accuracy of DC inventory and Store Orders to provide the stores with accurate, quality orders.
  • Following DC SOPs, QC associates will audit all functions within the Operation and must therefore understand the process flows. Assure inventory is accurate and stores received accurate, quality orders.
  • Reporting is necessary for both the Corporate Quality program and the Internal DC program. This allows Management to understand the performance accuracy of the DC as well as at an Associate level.
  • Responsible for conducting a Corporate monthly audit of a randomly selected entire store order. completes reporting of the accuracy of the audit for the store order. Completes reporting of the accuracy of the audit for the store order. Accuracy goal is 99%. They also maintain at the Associate level to allow Management at the DC to address any issues/inaccuracies.
  • Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.

EXPERIENCE, SKILL and ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements With or Without Accommodation:
  • Stand on concrete floor for long periods of time.
  • Make visual comparisons and see slight differences in shapes and sizes of figures, widths and lengths of lines.
  • Move hands, fingers and eyes rapidly and accurately in making precise movements with speed.
  • Extend hands, arms in all directions; seizing, holding, grasping, picking merchandise mainly with the use of fingers.
  • Move fingers and manipulate small, medium and larger items rapidly and accurately.
  • Must be able to squat, kneel and bend below the waist-level to lift up to 50lbs from floor to chest.
  • Frequently obtain merchandise from below waist-level and raise it to above the head.
  • Use electronic hand-held devices for order fulfillment.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
EDUCATIONAL, CERTIFICATE and LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent required.
  • Basic math ability, calculations and accuracy is critical. Attention to details is required as well as an understanding of how the processes flow within the DC. Basic Excel skills required, including ability to create formulas.
  • Must have the ability to quickly and accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend conversational English to be able to read stock orders, safety rules and instructions in the use of machinery (such as Material Handling Equipment, Stand Ups, etc.).
  • Previous warehouse / distribution center and supply chain experience strongly preferred.
