JOB SUMMARY

The Psychometrician is responsible for performing psychometric assessments of subjects who are screening for participation in clinical trials. These assessments may be used, in part, to determine if subjects meet inclusion/exclusion criteria for clinical trial participation.

The Psychometrician also will be involved in assessing enrolled subjects in order to evaluate treatment response, treatment efficacy, adverse events, or other important aspects of functioning.

The Psychometrician plays an important role in subject recruitment and retention, ensuring that appropriate subjects are enrolled in studies, and that these individuals are retained throughout the duration of the studies in which they are participating.

Salary would depend on the candidate’s location. For New York City the hourly salary range is $75.00 - $125.00

  • Trail Making Test (Parts A & B) WAIS-lll Digit Span Test (Backward & Forward)
  • Boston Naming Test (BNT)
  • Generative Fluency Test (GVF)
  • Clock Drawing Test
  • Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study Instrumental Activities of Daily Living
  • Neuropsychiatric Inventory (NPI)
  • Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS)
  • Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD)
  • Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA)
  • Massachusetts General Hospital Antidepressant Treatment Response Questionnaire (MGH-ATRQ)
  • Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology – Clinician Rated (IDS-C30)
  • Clinician Administered Dissociative States Scale (CADSS)
  • Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (CSSRS)
  • Others assessments as needed
  • Organize, administer, score, and enter data of standardized psychological tests given to research subjects
  • Conduct prescreening telephone interviews using established inclusion/exclusion criteria with individuals interested in study participation,
  • Assist with consent process for study enrollment
  • Assist with data management related to patients enrolled in clinical and research studies
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • The position requires at least a Master’s degree in Psychology (or related field) and strong writing, multi-tasking and organizational skills. PhD is highly preferred.
  • Preferably, candidates will possess or have knowledge of or experience in the administration and scoring of standardized psychological tests, including intelligence measures and measures of specific cognitive abilities (including memory, attention, language and visual-spatial processing).
  • Candidates must also possess advanced computer skills for data entry and basic programming of scoring programs.
