Project Manager – Canonsburg, PA

Heyl & Patterson is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team located in Canonsburg, PA.

The Project Manager manages, communicates, delegates, and monitors all aspects of the project by serving as the interface between the customer and all internal departments within the company. The Project Manager has the responsibility to identify appropriate resource needs required to ensure that the company's goals and customers’ objectives are achieved on time and within budget.

Project Manager Responsibilities but not limited to:

· Overall leadership responsibility for quality execution of projects maximizing contract value consistent with company financial, strategic and program objectives.

· Act as focal point for all communications with the customer during project execution.

· Direct internal company resources in a leadership role as part of the project team consisting of Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Production personnel / departments.

· Demonstrate ability to successfully meet project objectives and fully understand scope to assure work is performed according to the customers specifications.

· Create detailed project schedules and manage project budget

· Monitors project performance against plans and objectives, analyzes results, prepares project status reports including recommendations and action plans to improve results

· Responsibility for activities related to scope change negotiations, timely invoicing, and project closeout.

· Ensures adherence to H&P quality standards.

Project Manager Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering/science/management discipline.

· Education requirement may be offset by significant prior experience.

· Additional education / training / certification: MBA, PMP certification is a plus.

· Experience in a Project Management position and knowledge of common project management procedures

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strength in organizational skills, people skills, and the ability to work in a team setting.

· Identify, track and mitigates project issues and risks. Able to escalate issues and resolution plans quickly and effectively.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
