Overview

The Liquidity Technology division is responsible for the development and operation of all applications belonging to the liquidity business. We support technology-heavy business areas that work in closer cooperation with us and that fully supports Deutsche Bank's new IT strategy. We are a fundamentally global organization, and you will work very closely with partners in our international locations. Liquidity banking applications services the needs of business areas spread across all Region Asia Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and US regions and production support Engineering team spread across globally.

What You’ll Do

  • Managing a set of Liquidity applications, while developing a good understanding of the activities required to execute production management functions and ensuring the Service Operations team provides optimum service level to the Business lines supported

  • Take overall responsibility for the resolution of incidents and problems within the team while overseeing the resolution of complex incidents to ensure that the right problem-solving techniques and processes are applied, as well as assisting in managing business stakeholder relationships and defining and managing OLAs with GT stakeholders

  • Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, prepare and document meetings, and track progress, while ensuring the team understands OLAs and resources appropriately and are aligned to business Service Level Agreement (SLAs)

  • Provide strict production gatekeeper function by reviewing the solutions coming from Application services and ensuring that nothing goes into production operation unless all prerequisites have been met and that the different component operators accept it

  • Undertake specific functions within the relevant production management process as identified for the specific production management area and participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, prepare and document meetings, track progress and communicates to stakeholders, while collecting, interpreting, and responding to changes in production data, as appropriate, and tracking the implementation of resolution tasks, as well as providing regular and reliable reporting of relevant data to meet management requirements

  • Understand thoroughly the end-to-end application support process and escalation procedures, become fully conversant with all support tools that will be used to provide effective support in the relevant area (i.e. service operations), while maintaining an end-to-end view of the application and infrastructure landscape, as well as providing input and contribute in Production Management related audits and engaging with other service management groups to understand business requirements

Skills You’ll Need

  • Recent experience of applying technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments

  • Working experience of some of the following technology skills: Operating systems (e.g., UNIX, Windows) and the underlying infrastructure environments, Middleware (e.g., Message Queue (MQ), WebLogic, Tomcat, Jboss, Apache, Kafka and similar), DAP, DWeb, Fabric, Database environments (e.g., Oracle, MS-SQL, Sybase, No Structured Query Language (SQL)), Automation, monitoring, and data analytics tools (e.g., Monitoring tool (Geneos/Nagios), scheduling tool (Control-M /Autosys), Ansible, Blue prism, App dynamics, Splunk and similar tools), and Scripting languages (e.g., UNIX shell and PowerShell, PERL, Python, GitHub, Spring boot, JAVA/.NET and similar programming languages)

  • Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework such as Incident, Problem, and Change processes

  • Extensive experience in IT in large corporate environments, specifically in controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function

  • Experience of end-to-end Level 2,3 management and good overview of Production/Operations Management overall, supporting complex application and infrastructure domains, and DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with knowledge and development experience in Ansible automation
