The Boeing Global Services - Government organization has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Agent (Level 4) to join the Supplier Management team located in Ridley Park, PA. The successful candidate will support procurement activities for aftermarket spares requirements while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the Supply Chain organization.

This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance

  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions

  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements

  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions

  • Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues

  • Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities

  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stake holders for development of one RFQ package

  • Communicates across functions, programs, and suppliers to effectively manage risks, issues and opportunities.

  • Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies

  • Possesses complete understanding, ability, and knowledge to act independently when working routine problems or situations. Possesses complete knowledge of company and local policies, procedures and regulations.

  • Effectively explores alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.

  • Problem solving and strategic decision making

  • Knowledge of supply chain requirements (e.g., replenishment, repairs, cycle time, inventory levels, scrap rate, pricing, suppliers, contracts) and the affect on the business and profitability.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5 or more years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager or Supply Base Manager

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10 or more years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes.

  • 10 or more years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing complex contracts and subcontracts

  • 10 or more years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.

  • 10 or more years of experience in proposal development and contract negotiations in support of US Government Customers

  • More than 5 years of experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements.

  • More than 5 years of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurements that exceed the Truth In Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate Ridley Park PA area or relocate at their own expense.
