Striving for excellence in execution, you will establish plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets to assure continuous improvement. Providing operations coordination for asset optimization, you will interface with Maintenance, Asset Management, Technology, R&D, business units, and other daily execution teams. Demonstrating your in-depth knowledge of Process Safety Management rules and regulations in a chemical plant setting, you will own the management of change process, lead PHAs, and directly support the incident investigation process including root cause analysis, action items, documentation, and follow-up for incidents. Using your strong business acumen, you will lead the capital budgeting process and provide input and ideas for capital planning, manage prioritization, and execution timelines in alignment with business objectives. Your team will serve as the change coordinator for Capital Projects and smaller plant modifications (management of change), including but not limited to the coordination, completion, and documentation of PSSR / MOC reviews to meet process safety and environmental requirements. You will help develop your team and support the daily execution team to develop critical thinking and trouble-shooting skills of the production staff. Monitor operations and quality on a daily/weekly basis by analyzing and studying trends to determine patterns, identifying inefficiencies and develop action plans to correct issues. Your robust troubleshooting ability will be essential as you monitor equipment and processing conditions, product quality & trends and troubleshoot process to ensure production performance. Focusing on continuous improvement, you will develop and implement debottlenecking and process improvement plans that will enhance safety, quality, plant reliability, cost, and efficiency. This could include aspects like CO2 and waste reduction.
- Engineering Bachelor’s degree or similar educational background preferred.
- Leadership experience and interpersonal skills are a valued asset.
- Strong and clear communication skills.
- 8-years of demonstrated experience in Operations in the chemical industry with a commitment towards safety.
