Job Location: This position will be located at 930 Wildwood Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109, Hybrid possible after six months.

The Statewide PrEP Coordinator will develop and implement a program that partners with organizations and groups throughout the state to promote and increase access to a medication that is very effective at preventing transmission of HIV. This is an opportunity to play a role in the work to end the HIV epidemic by preventing new infections!


What you’ll do:

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate a comprehensive HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Access Program that increases awareness of PrEP within populations at increased risk for HIV and assists persons in obtaining timely, essential, and appropriate PrEP-related services to prevent HIV infection
  • Work collaboratively with statewide HIV prevention partners to create, implement, and evaluate PrEP referral and navigation networks across the state
  • Coordinate the creation of culturally appropriate HIV and PrEP health campaigns and other initiatives focusing on communities at increased risk for HIV
  • Collaborate with public and private clinicians to identify and arrange capacity building and technical assistance for providers interested in providing PrEP
  • Provide direct services to person seeking PrEP as an HIV prevention tool, including program enrollment, linkage to a PrEP provider, and patient assistance program navigation

All you need for success:

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of relevant experience. Substitutions may be considered.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in public health, medical sciences, and health care
  • Ability to plan, implement, administer, and evaluate health education and health promotion programs for diverse populations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to appropriately tailor messages to audiences with diverse backgrounds
