Title: PLC Controls Technician

Location: Gainsville, GA

Job Summary:

Plant/facility technical, electronic, mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance.

Required Education/Experience:

• Electrical Engineering Degree and or electrical/electronic technology field preferred or at least 10 years equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 9 years proficiency in programming/navigating and troubleshooting PLC control systems is required
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, ControlLogix, and PanelView Plus
• Familiarity with the following industrial control communication protocols: ControlNet, Ethernet, DH+, Remote I/O, Device Net.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Technical degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of 9 years of hands-on industrial experience with control systems
• Experience with PLC and HMI/operator interface configurations and minor changes
• Ability to communicate in Spanish
• Assist operating and maintenance departments in selecting and standardizing equipment, software, device upgrades, drives and HMI interfaces to improve equipment operation and control system reliability
• Provide written documentation of changes to control systems engineers and notifications to all maintenance employees and stakeholder when significant changes are made to control systems so that troubleshooters on all shifts are aware of recent changes

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with installation, start-up, and maintenance of plant/facility electrical equipment and control systems, with emphasis on troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• PLC and HMI/operator interface configurations and minor changes
• Support the day-to-day operations in all departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
