WHAT TO EXPECT

You will report directly to the site Controller and will analyze and report standard costs, labor costs & labor forecasting and budgeting, perform month end close activities such as journal entries and analyses, and support payroll and time-keeping processes.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Perform standard product quoting and costing for a variety of product lines across both Poplar Bluff locations
  • Responsible for data quality management of new production items in the ERP system
  • Lead monthly/annual inventory counting process
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned as well as assist in variance analysis as needed
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset and Capital Project Management
  • Forecasting and budgeting support
  • Assist in prompt and accurate processing of AP invoices to appropriate plant personnel and weekly expense reporting
  • Calculate sales and Use tax
  • Comply with internal and external audit requests
  • Payroll processing and time card keeping support

ABOUT YOU

  • 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Previous cost accounting, payroll or A/P experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment beneficial
  • Strong general accounting knowledge, including general knowledge of Accounts Payable and Payroll.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team and to interact with various levels of the organization.
  • Takes initiative, self-motivated.
  • Focused on continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently based on initial direction.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Working knowledge of database structure.
  • Good organization skills, strong work ethic, and high level of integrity required.
  • Flexibility in work hours required at times to meet demands around month end, forecast, and budget periods.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other ERP systems, such as Oracle.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
