Job Title: Emergency Room Physician Assistant

Location: 100 Bliss Ave, Tahlequah, OK 74464

Pay Rate: $130/hr | $4680/wk

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our team in the Emergency Room at Tahlequah City Hospital. The ER Physician Assistant will be responsible for providing quality patient care in the emergency department, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with acute and emergent conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, and report any changes to the physician and interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan
• Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Qualifications:

• Active Oklahoma State Physician Assistant License
• At least 2 years of recent experience in an emergency department setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Shift Pattern:

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift pattern of 3x12s (36hrs) on a rotating schedule.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay rate for this position is $130/hr, with a weekly salary of $4680. In addition to competitive pay we offer medical insurance and referral bonus.
