We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician‐Infusion to join our PharmScript team within our Central
Infusion Operations department. As a Pharmacy Technician‐Infusion, you’ll perform data entry, customer
service, and any other tasks that relate to the dispensing of infusion therapy.
The ideal candidate is a people person who enjoys troubleshooting and resolving problems and is
dedicated to helping customers. For you, no task feels too small and no challenge impossible. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Comply with and perform best practices as outlined/described in USP <797>
  • Data entry involves the entry and processing of medication orders via the pharmacy’s operating system which includes:
  • Hand‐written Physician Order Sheets and State Prescription Blanks
  • Electronic Prescriptions
  • Reorder requests
  • Triaging of incoming phone calls from Nursing Facilities
  • Processing of verbal requests for medication
  • Providing status or confirmation of medication delivery
  • Troubleshooting
  • Outgoing clarifications of medication orders and patient demographic data
  • Coordination of incoming Medication Orders both via fax and by electronic interface
  • Knowledge of IV medications and supplies preferred
  • Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
  • Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.
  • Other duties set by management.
Qualifications:
  • High school degree or GED is required
  • 1 year previous IV experience preferred
  • 1 year or more of long‐term care or retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Able to work independently as well as in a diverse, team environment
  • Ability to meet physical demands involving extended periods of standing, walking, bending,
  • kneeling and reaching
  • Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor
  • Registered technician or registration should be in the process
