Clyde

The Performance Customer Service Administrator is based within our Clyde business area.

As the Ministry of Defence’s commercial partner at HMNB Clyde, Babcock provides specialist engineering support services, including the management of infrastructure and nuclear facilities. We also deliver operational maintenance, upgrades and repairs to support Royal Navy vessels, including the Vanguard and Astute-Class nuclear submarines.


The role

The difference our new Performance Customer Service Administrator will make
As a Performance Customer Service Administrator you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be part of a team following a shift working pattern, below is an example of the 35-day rota system which repeats itself. Each working shift is 12 hours. Day shifts at 08:00 - 20:00 hours, night shifts are 20:00 - 08:00 hours. All Nightshifts will be working from home


Example 35 day work pattern below:-
  • Day 1, 2, 3 Nightshift 20:00 – 08:00 Home Working
  • Day 4, 5, 6, Rest days
  • Day 7, 8, 9,10 Dayshift 08:00 – 20:00 On site
  • Day 11. 12 Days Off
  • Day 13,14 Nightshift 20:00 – 08:00 Home Working
  • Day 15,16,17 Rest days
  • Day 18,19, 20 Dayshift 08:00 – 20:00 On site
  • Day 21- 31 (11)Days Off
  • Day 32, 33 Nightshift 20:00 – 08:00 Home Working
  • Day 34 -35 Days Off

The Customer Services Department operates 24/7 as the single point of contact for all requirements within HMNB Clyde. The primary objective of this role is to respond to all customer enquiries and assess and action requests for services, ensuring all interactions are effectively and efficiently recorded and processed. This includes raising tasks and producing Maintenance and Reactive Work orders for Maintenance Teams and liaising with Planning teams.

Essential experience

  • MS Office – specifically MS Excel
  • ERP system knowledge desirable but not essential
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • You should hold or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
