The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for making sure employees are paid accurately and on time. The Payroll Specialist will manage payroll functions, including calculating employee paychecks, withholding taxes, and any other deductions, as well as maintaining accurate payroll records for multiple dealership locations.

Responsibilities

• Managing compensation packages using payroll software.
• Checking timesheets for accuracy
• Calculating pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime.
• Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
• Handling direct deposit requests and data
• Processing paper checks for distribution
• Acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll
• Processing wage garnishments
• Making adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission

• Knowledge of different types of payroll software
• Knowledge of payroll, garnishments and benefits distribution

• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
• Stand, walk or sit for long periods of time without resting
• Ability to perform routine kneeling, crouching or crawling
