Role Overview:

GOAT Group is seeking a Payroll Manager who will be responsible for time management, payroll processing, and related activities for a multi-state organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience, sound judgment, and a critical eye for detail. The Payroll Manager will work in conjunction with and support the People Operations team through payroll, department projects, and the development of existing and new programs to meet long term growth and goals.

This role will report to the Senior Payroll Manager within the Total Rewards & People Operations team.

In this role you will:

• Responsible for full cycle US payroll and timekeeping functions. Work with managers to resolve time sheet exceptions by the established approval deadline.
• Participate in ongoing maintenance of time and pay data necessary to process paychecks, tax changes, retroactive adjustments, garnishments, special pays, and paid time off adjustments in payroll system (Ultimate Kronos Group).
• Balance workload on a per pay period basis and adjust tasks as necessary for business continuity and to ensure customer service is delivered in a timely manner.
• Ensure operations are performed in compliance with company policies federal/state and local laws.
• Identify and assist on requirements for new local jurisdictions.
• Oversee payroll related audits
• Assist in identifying key areas and/or processes that need improvement, documentation, backup, and/or additional support.

We are looking for:

• 9+ years of end-to-end timekeeping and payroll experience.
• Proven experience of hands-on US payroll operations and compliance cycle from start to finish.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced organization and manage multiple priorities and collaborations with other team-members while keeping focused on data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) for payroll processing and time management.
• Keeps current on payroll and taxation policies related to the company, conducts research, compiles information that is readable and accessible.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
