Overview:
The Payment Services Specialist contributes to all payment related product, service, and hardware platform(s). The successful candidate for this position will partner with Business Development, IT, and marketing, to deliver world class consumer centric payment solutions for use by all ViaPath customer segments. Primary responsibilities include collaborating with business development stakeholders to explore new opportunities in corrections, government, and consumer payment services to increase market penetration of ViaPath payment services.

This is a remote based position that can be located anywhere west of the Mississippi with access to a major airport. This position will require up to 75% travel.
Responsibilities:
  • Qualify, develop, and maintain thorough company and product knowledge, research customer needs, and identify how our solutions can meet their needs
  • Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintaining an accurate, detailed knowledge of our payment services offering
  • Pursue Payment opportunities via prospecting and responding to RFP’s.
  • Work with Account Executives and Account Managers to design customer-specific sales efforts
  • Work along side the RFP Team in developing concise responses to requirements within the RFP. Also keep the response library fresh with the latest RFP responses
  • Represent the company with a comprehensive understanding of our payment service offerings
  • Maximize the sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight to needs and lifestyle of the customer
  • Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research
  • Maintain the prospect base in SalesForce
  • Ability to review and assist in responding to RFP’s in competitive environments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent years of experience lieu of a degree
  • 2 -4 years relevant sales / account management experience (will consider candidates with less experience if they have strong experience within the correction payment services environment)
  • Knowledge of money transmission in a banking and/or correctional industry is a plus
  • Understanding of methods used to evaluate, define, and invest in opportunities
  • Understand how to develop presentations and deliver presentations to small and large groups
  • Understanding of methods used to evaluate product portfolios to make ongoing strategic product lifecycle decisions
  • Participated in the full lifecycle of multiple products from conception to release
  • Experience in corrections, as an employee or in business development and government payment products and methods preferred
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to interact with other team members, external customers, and management in a professional manner
  • Must be willing to travel up to 75%
