The Payment Poster is responsible for managing all ERA, EFT, Virtual CC, and paper insurance, and patient paper check payments. Excellent Opportunity to advance into management
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Daily ERA and Paper check payment posting to HealthFusfion EMR
- Manage Payments according to the fee schedule and allocate them appropriately
- Payer Management updates, denial trends and cross-training to billing teammates
- Maintaining Payment reporting directly from HealthFusion EMR weekly
- Completing secondary crossover
- Updating the correct payor and resubmission of the claim(s)
- Identifying paper payments and requesting EFT application submissions
- Utilizes Payor portals to retrieve EOB’s and posts into HealthFusion EMR
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Reports directly to the Director of RCM. Maintains company compliance, protocols, and practices HIPPA guideline requirements. Exceptional organizational skills, and outstanding time management. communicates effectively to supervisor and teammates, displays integrity and exceptional work ethic.
In Office Position/Non In Patient Environment
EDUCATION: AA preferred
EXPERIENCE: Payment Posting/Cash Management-3-5 years experience preferred
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Microsoft Office/Google Sheets: 3-5 years experience preferred.
EMR Software a must / HealthFusion EMR experience desired
