Overview:
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician – Rheumatology and Oncology. Both are part of Atlantic Medical Group: AMG Rheumatology with offices in Summit, West Orange, Clark, and Bridgewater and the Atlantic Women’s Cancer Associates with offices in Morristown, Summit and Bridgewater.

Schedule to be determined, depending on location.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  • The Patient Care Technician I could be responsible for greeting and preparing for patients, managing patient flow, completing patient intake into EPIC system, and maintaining exam rooms including cleaning and keeping inventory/ordering supplies.
  • Administrative responsibilities may include managing phones and scheduling patients when needed, patient registration and check-in/out, handling patient prescriptions and pre-authorization for diagnostic testing as well as directing patients in all phases of their experience with the practice.
  • The Patient Care Technician I could be responsible for assisting with the pre-operative testing and clearance workflow. This could include requesting applicable testing, scheduling appointments and remaining in contact with surgical patients.
  • This position may require extended working hours, including late evenings and travel among all of our current and future sites.
Qualifications:
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Able to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours
  • Ability to travel to different practices if necessary
  • Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential
Minimum Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Relevant Experience:
  • Two years medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with an EMR system desired (preferably EPIC)
