We are currently looking for fun and energetic Assistant Teachers to join out faculty. The part-time hours are 3pm - 6pm Monday - Friday.

The Goddard School® is a premiere preschool where children from six weeks to five years are encouraged to develop at their own pace in a nurturing environment, lovingly guided by our highly skilled, professional teachers. The F.L.EX.SM Learning Program uses a Piaget (learning through play) based foundation and focuses on developing seven learning domains: personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical thinking, scientific thinking, social studies, creative expression and physical development. Teachers use their creativity to develop lesson plans that are brought to life in fun and imaginative ways. Each of our faculty is a valued member of the school and has the opportunity to form clo se relationships with the children and families they serve.

Daily Responsibilities

Our Lead and Assistant Teachers work together to:

• Develop lesson plans.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Build teamwork.
• Use assessment tools.
• Commit to continuing education.
