We’re looking for an experienced Part Time Accounting Assistant to join our incredible business office based in Wheeling, IL. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, account and bank reconciliations, and assisting with managing customer questions and requests. The right person for this role recognizes the importance of professionalism, high quality work, supreme attention to detail, and what it means to make an immediate impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Administrative

  • Respond to customer requests for invoices, statements, W-9’s, etc.
  • Maintain customer vendor portal information
  • Accurately complete various customer and vendor forms
  • Update billing and contact information in SAGE ERP system for customers and vendors
  • Maintain extensive notes on customer interactions in SAGE ERP system

Payables

  • Receive supplier invoices and match to receipts in ERP system
  • Contact suppliers for invoice and credit memo copies, and to address discrepancies
  • Process weekly check run
  • Receivables
  • Cash Application- Lockbox, PayPal, Credit Card
  • Research/note discrepancies in customer payments
  • Process virtual credit card payments daily
  • Work collaboratively with Accounts Receivable Supervisor

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of working accounting experience
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount
  • Performs daily activities within established protocols and completes tasks on time
  • Communicates professionally with suppliers, customers, and other WorldPoint staff
  • Works independently without close supervision
  • Understands importance of a team support function
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Proficient computer skills including an intermediate (or better) knowledge of MS Office, primarily MS Excel
  • Proficient working with an ERP system
