Wayland Brewing Co is a recently opened 18,000 sq ft brewery, taproom and event space in Orchard Park, NY (just outside of Buffalo; home to the Buffalo Bills). We have a great team in place and are looking for a Cellar and Packaging Assistant to join our production team.

Our brewery features a well appointed 20 BBL 3-vessel system with in-house canning capabilities and room to grow. The ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic and good communication skills. We hope to find an exceptional person to join our team and immediately contribute to the production of our high quality ales and lagers.

Job Responsibilities

• Brewing
• Assisting brewers to support efficient production
• Cellaring
• Operating a semi-automated keg washer
• Filling kegs
• Keeping keg rooms organized and ready for service
• Packaging
• Assist on canning days
• Brewery cleaning and upkeep
• Occasional delivery routes to outside accounts
• Deliver kegs and cans, retrieve empty kegs
• Receiving of inbound shipments
• Accurate and regular record keeping
• Perhaps more depending on your skills, interest and personal goals

Desired Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Clean, active drivers license
• Professionalism and a positive attitude
• Ability to take instruction well and operate as part of a team
• Meet physical demands of a commercial brewing environment
• Notably, the ability to briefly lift up to 160 lbs (full kegs)
• Experience working in a commercial brewery is desirable, but not required

• Estimated start date: June 2023
• 40 hour work week during daytime hours (est 9 am - 5 pm)
• Competitive hourly compensation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights

• Orchard Park, NY 14127: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
