Objective

The P&C Account Manager is mainly responsible for reviewing and remarketing existing accounts assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the existing accounts assigned and maintain a high renewal retention rate
  • Maintain client relationships and continuous growth, follow agency procedures for renewal workflow and timeline
  • Gather updated information from existing clients, prepare submissions, identify markets, quote within admitted carriers, compare quotes, prepare proposals, present and post binding activity and documentation
  • Negotiate rates and terms with insurance carriers
  • Discuss coverage & forms with client on the renewal term
  • Attend training sessions and courses to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge
  • Maintain client files with consistent documentation
  • Be proficient and available to carrier rating/quoting system provided for agency use
  • Provide proactive risk management advice to existing clients and resolve client issues
  • Proactively identify and pursue cross-sell and cross-referral opportunities amongst existing clients
  • Identify carrier risk appetites, carrier information, target classes, and underwriting guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in P&C commercial line
  • Associate degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Good listening skills and the ability to identify clients' needs efficiently
  • Positive learning & teaching attitude, ability to work in a teamwork environment
  • Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Agency Management System etc
