Position requirements:

• Valid drivers license with clean MVR.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Strong communication, decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, push, pull and lift chains, binders, signs, flags and blocks as needed.
• Be professional, friendly and team oriented.

Escort Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform complete pre and post-trip inspection of vehicle.
• Ensure all PPE gear and required equipment is in vehicle and good working order.
• Coordinate moves with dispatch and drivers.
• Plan and check routes for hazards, sharp turns, low overpasses, and wires to ensure safe transport of oversize loads.
• Assist driver during transport: identify obstacles, switching lanes, blocking traffic, navigating bridges, entering, and exiting jobsites to ensure the safety of the driver, the load and others on the road.
• Maintain company vehicle and equipment in clean, good working order.
• Always maintain professionalism at all times with drivers, foreman, dispatch and other drivers on the road.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or damages immediately to supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as required.
