We are a small optometry practice dedicated to providing excellent patient care and building long-lasting relationships. We strive to create a personalized, exceptional patient experience each and every time. We have a true team atmosphere and opportunities exist for continued learning and growth.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting the patient interview and all appropriate preliminary testing prior to patients seeing the doctor
  • Preforming clinical testing procedures such as OCT imaging and visual field testing
  • Opening and closing exam and pretest rooms, including properly sanitizing equipment
  • Training patients on contact lens insertion and removal and proper care of contacts
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, instruments, supplies, and exam rooms
  • Maintaining inventory of medical supplies, including contact lenses
  • Educating patients on conditions, procedures, and test results, and answering patient questions
  • Entering exam data for the doctor during the exam (must be able to listen, type, and record information in real time)
  • Maintaining HIPAA and OSHA compliance
  • Providing assistance during medical procedures

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience highly preferred
  • Great customer service skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and doctor’s orders
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate with patients and coworkers in a supportive, compassionate manner
  • Maintain high standard of care when working with patients
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to handle hectic schedules and multi-task
  • Highly organized and self-motivated
  • Basic computer skills, including efficient typing skills
  • Willingness to learn other team positions and have flexibility in job assignments

This is a full time (hourly) position; Monday through Friday

Health insurance is not an offered benefit at this time

Pay rate is dependent on level of experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
