BG Signature is looking for an Operations Manager to join our team Surfside Grill & Bayside Marina in Melbourne Beach, FL. We are located on the beach in Sebastian Inlet State Park on 9707 South Hwy A1A. The Operations Manager will report directly to the CEO of the BG Florida State Parks. We operate a Grill,Gift Shop, Bait Shop, Marina and Events Venue

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. OPERATIONS:

• Ensure all areas of operations quality, cleanliness, and safety are maintained
• Assign weekly projects to shift leaders
• Building maintenance
• Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up
• Ensure business quality standards are met
• Ensure all areas of operation are up to par with sanitation and safety supplies
• Submit all reports in a complete and timely fashion
• Oversee all departments including tours & retail in addition to any private vendors
• Oversee retail operations, inclusive of ordering

2. HR:

• Hold the team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
• Develop and implement best practices to maximize team efficiencies
• Hold proper employee evaluations in a timely manner
• Ensure staff is up to date with any new rules and regulations provided to us by the state
• Schedule and organize quarterly employee meetings with full detailed notes to provide to all staff
• Schedule and conduct interviews for new hires

3. ACCOUNTING:

• Staff and schedule appropriately to control labor costs
• Ensure Manager on Duty (“MOD”) reports are done daily, and bank deposits are made in a timely fashion
• Run Accounts Payable
• Ensure any approved invoice payments are sent out in a timely manner
• Ensure all special event or tour deposits are made in a timely and accurate manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Management Experience in QSR and Retail (2 Year Minimum)
• Proficient in mathematical skills
• Proficient in spreadsheets and other computer programs
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen & communicate effectively
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Be a team leader
• Willingness to work outdoors as needed
• Must be self-motivated
• Have a reliable work vehicle
• Exhibit a positive friendly and helpful attitude to our guests and crew members
• Experience in Parks & Recreation is a plus *
