Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Type: Full Time

We are currently seeking a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide rehabilitation services in one of our locations. The Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing occupational therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
:

  • Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Occupational Therapist
  • Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
  • Acts as an assistant to the Occupational Therapist when the Occupational Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures
  • Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the occupational therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice physical therapy
  • Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred

Required Experience:

  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, basic math skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude
