We’re currently looking for a Non-Manufacturing Facilities Engineering Manager to join our team.

**This role can be based in Canton, Mississippi OR Smyrna, Franklin, Decherd, Tennessee***

Job Summary

Manages a staff of Facilities engineers, site managers technologists and contractors to Ensure Functional Optimization of Non-Manufacturing Facilities partnered with contract maintenance vendor and local Maintenance contractors - including buildings and utilities infrastructure, grounds and surfaces, janitorial, waste, recycling, and regulatory compliance for air & water quality; Address day-to-day facility requirements, deploying local and regional resources as needed including implementation of field fix and repair information; and drives standardization and strategy initiatives. Point of contact for local site leaders regarding facilities issues. Contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Provides support to non-manufacturing facilities for quality, cost, delivery, and safety related facility engineering optimization and problem resolution. Monitor and provide feedback for KPI performance, liaison between local site leadership and contractors as well as cross-functional support groups (engineering, compliance, IS/IT);

Assign and oversee local facility OPEX and short cycle CAPEX projects; negotiate and determine priority for requested projects, determine funding source (OPEX or CAPEX) elevate appropriate projects to Central Engineering group for process/protocols, implement and drive standardization in execution, meet project schedules & budgets; Manages and leads the development of annual departmental budgets and ensures adherence to the approved budgets.

Develop strategies for cost reduction and continual improvement; Develop and submit tactical & technology driven cost reduction strategies (in the areas of efficiency, optimization & energy usage) to local & organizational leadership for awareness – drive resulting projects to completion and report improvement savings; implements new department processes, systems, and tracking processes to obtain departmental KPIs.

Ensure customer satisfaction for Facilities operations performance. Provide operational status updates to local site leadership as required, collect feedback on facility related elements – janitorial, grounds, energy, waste, and compliance related functions and targets;

Ensure cross-functional alliance with Central Facilities Engineering and Environmental strategy groups to ensure alignment and standardization.

Management Accountabilities:
Has engineering and other professional subordinates including contractors. Supervises and provides leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development; leads employees to establish team and individual annual goals that relate to corporate KPIs and guide them in tracking these goals for each phase of a project; interviews and selects unit employees; provides timely feedback in terms of performance; recommends merit increases, transfers and promotions; counsels and disciplines employees as necessary; monitors time and attendance of subordinates. Drive the Nissan 5 Values and AOP Strategy Drive culture of respect and inclusion within and across the organization by modeling the 5 values of the New Nissan Way. Set up and sustain formal employee development structure in a PDCA type format – 1:1s, ASCEND coaching and mentoring, skill development, etc. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

Job Knowledge and Skill:
Knowledge of the elements of facilities engineering and management.

Experience:
Five or more years of related professional-level Engineering experience.

Supervisory Experience:
Two or more years in an engineering role exhibiting leadership skills.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline.

Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and mainframe applications.
