In this role, you'll report to the Non-Functional Test Manager and you'll be accountable for delivering testing capabilities to time, cost and quality to ensure business value can be achieved. Through your role you'll develop new working relationships with Asda and our suppliers.

About You

• You'll have previous experience in working closely with 3rd party suppliers, building relationships with the development and business teams in order to provide test feedback and experience managing numerous projects and Stakeholders.
• Experience developing performance test scripts with at least one of LoadRunner/NeoLoad/jMeter for multiple protocols (e.g. Web, SAP GUI, RTE)
• Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring Cloud based applications (preferably Azure with Azure Monitor)
• Ability to analyse complex workloads and performance metrics to identify root cause of performance issues and bottlenecks
• Ability to articulate technical issues clearly and concisely with non-technical team members
• Knowledge and/or experience of embedding performance in CI/CD pipelines would be a plus
• Ideally you will have knowledge around ETL and Web Service testing as well as using management tools such as JIRA and HPALM.
• Ability and desire to challenge and review work produced by 3rd party suppliers
• Assist the Non-Functional Test Managers in developing testing approaches and plans across numerous projects and programmes
• Provide data for meaningful metrics that define performance and drive continuous improvement
• Provide regular project updates to the Non-Functional Test Manager
• Identify and manage risks through to closure
• Experience of working closely with Development and Engineering teams to develop and improve ways of working, particularly around Agile and CI/CD.
• The ability and experience to rapidly understand complex functionality and architectures on large programmes
• Good understanding and knowledge of testing standards and processes and application of these to 3rd party suppliers
• Good understanding of all different test phases in SDLC

This role will see you developing your skills, leading anything from 6-8 projects at a time. Working on the biggest transformation programme at the moment, Future! You will be working on the decoupling of technology systems that are integrated with Walmart, shaping the way Asda operate independently from a non-functional testing capacity. You will gain exposure and extend your skills by working on the most innovative testing tools there is.
